What a British Bed and Breakfast is all about
Astwell Mill is set in 37 acres of peaceful rolling countryside and includes a small wood and 3 acres of lakes on which you may find ducks, moorhens, coots and the occasional swan. At times you may be lucky enough to see a kingfisher and more often, the heron. It is a working farm with around 300 sheep and also home to 8 horses and ponies of varying ages and sizes.
Astwell Mill has been kept and is presented with a great deal of pride. Two comfortable rooms are fully equipped for the modern day traveller. Facilities include tea and coffee making facilities, WiFi, and Freeview colour TV. We have an ensuite double room, with views over the lake and a twin/double room with a private bathroom which is also available as a suite to accommodate a family.
The location provides an ideal base for visiting many historic places such as Stowe, Sulgrave Manor, canals at Stoke Bruene and also a variety of National Trust properties. Towcester Racecourse holds race meeting on a regular basis from October to May and we are only 5 miles from Silverstone so a perfect location for accommodation for the Grand Prix, Moto GP, Classic cars or any other events at the circuit. There is good road access to the property and plenty of safe off road parking. The Mill is also central for exploring many of the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside villages or shopping in Milton Keynes, Oxford, Northampton, Banbury, Brackley, Towcester and Bicester including Bicester Village Outlet.
For food, locally we boast Pubs & Restaurants to suit every taste and budget.
Special bed & breakfast packages are available for longer stays.
